Why The Rec Room

Their first real sport.

Little Athletes is where 3 and 4 year olds get their first taste of real sport-style movement. This isn’t free play; it’s structured, coach-led training designed to build the athletic foundation every kid needs.

Each session introduces running mechanics, jumping technique, throwing and catching fundamentals, and age-appropriate obstacle-course patterns. Kids learn how to listen to a coach, wait their turn, and follow multi-step instructions; all while having a blast.

The pace is fast and the energy is high, but every challenge is scaled so your child feels successful. It’s the perfect bridge between toddler play and real athletic development.

Common Questions

Everything you need
to know.

While in the future we may split into more sport-specific classes (i.e. rotational athletes vs field athletes), our elite performance training will focus on full athletic development. However, our programs will allow for coaches to identify strengths and weaknesses of each specific athlete, and offer variations that strengthen their individualized needs. If there is something you’re specifically looking for, reach out to our staff for private training or specialized class selection.
For our elite performance training, we believe training frequency should coincide with their current sport season. If your child is currently having 3 practices and 2 games a week, we would make a different recommendation for an athlete who is in the off-season. Our owner, Ty Stone, will oversee all elite performance athletes directly, and give individualized recommendations.
Yes, we strongly believe in in-season training that complements and enhances your child’s sport-specific demands. In-season athletes will train with the appropriate frequency and intensity to maintain their strength, power, agility, and other biomotor abilities, without taking away from their ability to perform on the field.
While we will be running on our traditional 45 minute class schedule for all ages, we encourage this group specifically to come 5-10 minutes early to begin warming up while the previous class makes their exit.
